The world is at a tipping point. With a radically deteriorating planet, Altiir believe they have a responsibility to rethink the processes and bring about change in this industry. “It’s become a matter of necessity as much as desire” says Creative Director, Turner-Sutton, “We have to create sustainable products in ethical and cruelty- free ways if we are to continue to enjoy, and be proud of the pieces we invest in”.

This collection is a take on vintage, tailored biker jackets in a range of natural and metallic colours, engineered with a pioneering pineapple material developed over 10 years by Dr. Carmen Hijosa. As opposed to traditional leather, this material positively impacts the environment while reducing waste and promoting social, cultural and ecological development.

Motivated by a utopian vision of living in nature and the modern world, Altiir are creating luxury garments for today’s conscious individual. The brand’s creators, Timothy Turner-Sutton and Lincoln Godwin tap into late 60’s rock’n’roll counterculture of artists like Jagger, Bowie and Hendrix, who once inspired a revolution, to start a new one.

Through the engineered design of innovative, sustainable textiles into genuine, luxury garments, Altiir leads by example. Dedicated to taking positive action in the fashion industry, the brand does not compromise on quality, style or the essence of who they are.

“This remarkable alternative to leather is created by the clever people at Piñatex. Not only incredibly functional but also objectively beautiful. The strong leaf fibres create a unique and unconventional texture that over time, moulds to your body and ages gracefully. When you slide into one of the metallic finishes, you really do feel like a Rolling Stone: everybody wants to touch you!” says Turner-Sutton.

Altiir are combining this innovative technology with the nest components the luxury market has to offer. Made from start to finish in Italy with makers that have fine-tuned their craft through generations, including the hardware makers of Tom Ford and internal fabrics you would find in your favourite Saint Laurent coat.

This is a year for change, for individual voices to be heard, in all industries and all aspects of life. Let’s come together.
